About
Rendell Sales Company

Background
- Rendell Sales Company was
established in 1968 for the purpose of providing high quality
representation to the electronic market in Illinois
and Wisconsin.
Business Approach
- Our charter is to seek out a
manageable number of compatible lines to represent in our territory.
Rendell's major thrust has been in printed circuit
boards and related components. Transformers, relays, resistors and connectors
are among our major lines. These components offer opportunities to overlap and
introduce new products to over 1000 current customers. From the circuit board
on up, we can make the transition to our other lines.
By maintaining a broad base of active customers,
Rendell Sales Company has a large market in which to introduce new product
lines as well as proven, mature products.
Our Success Is Proven
- Rendell Sales Company has
consistently attained the position of number one or number two
manufacturers' representative firm for all of our major principals. We
have received numerous sales awards and citations for our efforts.
In business for over thirty years, we still retain
many of our original principals, which attests to our loyalty and long-term
relationships with them.
Facilities
- Rendell Sales Company is
headquartered in its own modern 4000 square foot, two story office
building on Chicago's north
side, within easy access to main highways. Both Chicago's
Loop and O'Hare can be reached in 15 minutes; and Wisconsin
is within 45 minutes reach.
We also keep our customer base up-to-date through
the use of direct mail. Our mailing list is sorted by interest classification.
Engineering Support
- Rendell Sales Company's staff
is committed to representing our principals' products in the engineering
departments of the accounts in our territory. It is our presence in the
engineering departments which enables us to introduce our principals'
products and keep on top of new designs.
Principal support in engineering includes:
- Updating customers'
engineering reference libraries.
- Ordering and
delivering samples for new design-ins.
- Maintaining visibility
in the engineering departments, thus keeping our lines in the forefront.
- Following up on
component testing and evaluation progress, and providing reports to the
factory.
- Making sure our
principals receive up-to-date engineering specs and drawings.
- Continual follow-up
until we have established print position.
Distribution Presence
- Rendell Sales Company has a
strong commitment to distribution. Distributors are our allies and are
viewed as an extension of our sales force, allowing greater account
coverage.
To maintain our presence with distribution, Rendell
Sales Company attempts to have each of our distributors carry a minimum of two
of our lines.
To attain this goal, Rendell Sales Company seeks
out manufacturers who provide a product that lends itself to the distribution
channel, and who are strongly committed to supporting distributor programs.
